Three Stooges has a new movie being released in April 2012? The movie stars Sean Hayes of Will and Grace fame, Will Sasso of Mad TV, and Chris Diamantopoulos. My kittens are no stars but are named Moe, Larry and Curley Sue. Where do the comparisons between the new 3 stooges and my new three kittens begin and end?
The Three Stooges Movie of 2012
Having not seen the movie yet, I cannot evaluate the performance of Sean Hayes, Will Sasso, and that other guy. So let me compare my three kittens to the roles played by each character.
As the plot begins with the Stooges movie, the baby Stooges are left by a stranger at the door step of an orphanage.
So too, my three kittens were taken to an animal rescue home in our local town to be cared for until someone could adopt them. We will consider that close enough to an orphanage.
From what I know of the new Stooges movie plot, I would say any life story line resemblance ends there between my kittens and the new 3 Stooges.
While my kittens are very young, I do not anticipate them trying to save an orphanage, being involved in a murder plot or getting a reality TV show as occurs in the Stooges movie. But you never know!

My Three Kittens Named After The Three Stooges
The Three Stooges characters are three men. My kittens are two boys and one girl. I just could not name the little girl kitten Curly. So I named her Curley Sue and also changed the spelling just a bit.
Of course the appearance of my kittens and the Stooges are fortunately for my cats extremely different with two exceptions.

I do believe that if the current growth pattern continues for my kittens that Curley Sue will be the stout one. She is, however, probably going to be the shortest and not the tallest as is Curly of the Stooges cast. Kitten Larry has hair in color only, thank goodness, like that of Stooges actor Larry.
I hope to never see any of my kittens bald, with a bowl haircut or a finger stuck in the electrical socket hairdo as found with the movie characters.

There are a lot of similarities in personality between the original three stooge characters and the kittens.
My kitten Moe got that name because he was the first one to be brave enough to come out from behind the sofa after I brought them home. He was the first to use the litter box and eat food. So I saw him as the leader of the pack in good and in bad. He has proven me to be correct. As he looks around the room you can see the wheels turning while he tries to see what he can get into next. Sound like another Moe character you know?
Curley Sue is spunky, sticks up for herself, and can instigate trouble just like the Curly comic character.

Larry is like the third wheel and takes up with the older cats when the other two ignore him. Kind of like the part of Larry. In my opinion, you know he is there and love him as much as the other 3 Stooges. But Moe and Curley Sueseem to draw more attention to themselves.
And the kittens are exactly like the Three Stooges characters in that they find themselves in a lot of trouble with little or no effort.

I guess I am just a proud parent. But I thought this would be a fun as well as unusual way for me to introduce the newest members of our pet family and why we named them after these famous comedians.
